I was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. I had a typical suburban upbringing. I was brought up with a religion, and received the rites of the church and had a God. In my teenage years, I got way off track. Life just happened around me. I slowly faded into the background of my own life. I became more of a spectator than a participant.
I have a loving and caring family that have always done their best to take care of me and try to help me, and for that I will forever be grateful. After about 12 years of just existing, a miracle happened. The Light of the Spirit came crashing into my darkness and I surrendered my will and my life to it.
In the last 20+ years, a lot of life has happened, both good and bad. The difference is that I now have a Higher Power that is both in my life and in charge of my life. I am a participant once again. There is no way I could have foreseen the strange and wonderful path my life has taken. I now have the ability to love and care for others, a gift that was freely given to me.
I will never be able to repay as much as I have received, but I am going to try!
Building a Reiki business is my goal. The gift of the ability to help others is my inspiration. For a very long time, since I was young, there was something I was able to do for people by placing my hands on them and giving relief for whatever their ailment. The energy that was coming through me was healing.
When I began working in the educational field, some of my co-workers suggested I enhance this ability after feeling the effects of my energy. A friend then suggested Reiki and guided me to the Ursuline Academy Reiki Program. This is where I earned my certificates in Reiki I, Reiki II, Advanced Reiki Training, Reiki Master, and Karuna Reiki ®. My teacher and Reiki were the exact match for me.
This is where the true journey began. By treating friends and co-workers and through word of mouth I have treated many people since 2008. So many blessed healings have taken place during these treatments. I was able to help a close friend while undergoing chemotherapy for terminal cancer. A transplant patient told me she was pain free for the first time after treatment two weeks after her procedure.
Guidance and circumstances have shown me that helping others through Reiki is the path I am meant to follow!
